I have been intrigued by the fact some on here say they found the LGV driving test hard.Personally I cannot believe anyone could find a basic test hard and yes I know it is not so basic as a car test.
I can understand drivers being extremely nervous when doing the test which in turn might make it harder to drive to the standard they can drive at when they are not nervous but the actual test is fairly simple.
I have trained literally 1000’s of people to pass their test from 17 year olds (male and female ) to 60 year old farmers.I have had everything from Professional footballers,Dentists,Binmen,Bus drivers and even a few Traffic Police. Some very intelligent ones and some not so intelligent but with proper training they can all pass. There is nothing complicated about it and anyone can be trained to pass it.
In actual fact it is now easier to train an LGV driver than it is to train a basic car driver from scratch simply because the LGV driver can already drive which is a big advantage.
Would be interested to know why anyone actually found it hard?
Nerve racking ! lol , i taught a few what was then double L’s never passed a car test or driven anything…and then get them to drive an artic or a bus was hard work, some have an aptitude and take to it realy quick…others will never drive a truck as long as they have a hole in there arse…thank god it was stopped .
I had a great time, found it well fun.

So did I in the early nineties.Yes it was quite nerve racking taking them out on the road with a 40 foot trailer for the first time but with adequate time they can still pass.
