Happy DCPC Day!

Got a feeling the VOSTAPO (DVSA) will be out in force today, make sure you’ve got your Professional Drivers Club card on you!

I wonder how many haven’t done DCPC and will continue to drive without it.

 I always thought it was the 9th lol

I’ve already had my card checked this morning, so I’d assumed it was today aswell cos it’s never been inspected before.

It’ll be outstretched palms of flame!!! Show me the money Jerry!!!

Loads, my mate says he’s had blokes turning up trying to blag their way on to DCPC courses by subterfuge & then trying to bribe the trainer to let them on (they can only take 20 in a class). Lol.

DCPC for LGV started on 10/09/2009 so for those with acquired rights the GHOST DQC expires at 2400 hours on 09/09/2014 = today at midnight

I was speaking yesterday to a respected DCPC trainer who has had standbys for training to try and get on courses - that was a few days ago

I’ve got a card, but the company are taking photo -copies,what’s the idea behind that

I guess it’s incase you lose yours, they can say well you are qualified until the new card comes through after reporting it missing.

asda photo copy everything every time you go in there whats the point ? god knows

…It’s alright if they have already booked you on, and want to ponce about like that wasting their own time they’re paying you though.

It’s Sainsbury where they try and get you to do “paperwork/brief/debrief” outside of your actual paid hours though. :open_mouth:

Never had that at Stoke (DHL) or Stone (ND) Sainsburys always got that stuff done on their time, must just be certain money grabbing depots that try it on.

Dartford, DHL - I may or may not be wrong in assuming that it’s the same at other sainsbury/DHL run places of course…

Currys contract in Avonmouth try that on as do Emersons Green … mugs that do it though :unamused:

At Stoke the last thing they do after debrief and download is get you to sign off the timesheet rounding up to the next fifteen minutes. At Stone you clock in/out with a proper clocking in/out machine.
