That’s Hanson quarries and they are part of Heidelberg
Who really knows who owns what these days
Jim

Used to be all red but as of late they are white with red stickers on the body and cab doors, nowt to do with tippers n mixers,
they were a big outfit in their day

I’ve seen them knocking around recently. Sure they also had advert for drivers earlier in year?

hanson-logistics.com/

Hanson logistics was kept apart from the quarry division, and I think it was wholly owned by one of the Hanson Brothers.
I shall try and make enquiries.

I may be wrong but think he means the tipper firm with green bodies red chassis. Think they were bought out by Hargreaves about 2 or 3 years ago.

They are Currently registered as Hanson Family Holdings Limited, trading address:

7 Ashgrove Road
Huddersfield
West Yorkshire
HD2 1FQ

They changed there name in 2009 from Hanson Transport Group Limited.

There director is The Honourable Robert William Hanson.

Hanson Family Holdings has one subsidiary, Hanson Logistics Limited.

From there most recent Account fillings, Hanson Family Holdings Limited, currently has outstanding debts of over 1.7 million and a company value of 980,000.
At the same time Hanson Logistics Limited has outstanding debts of 1.3 million, and strongly enough values its self at 1.3 million.

It was on a Truckers Facebook Forum t’other week … Hansons have “laid-off” and parked-up ALL but 4 trucks … these are covering the chemical work they do … mostly Lubrizol from what was ICI ( next door ) on Leeds Rd and possibly also Norchem work.

I was working there earlier this year ( glad I got out when I did ) … they had about 15 trucks. From Jan to May. 8 ( yes 8 out of 15 ) drivers left ( one guy had been there 22 yrs ! ). They had 7 transport managers in 2 yrs.

Not going to say anymore … don’t want to get Rikki into trouble

I think you’re maybe right actually but im sure they were bought by Hargreaves. A story I heard was that the old man had pretty much packed up but suddenly came into money and all he wanted to do was get going in haulage again.

Was told by same person he had to sell up when he had to go in a care home but not sure how true it is?

Matt.

Plenty 8 wheelers down here
Not many artics
There’s 6-10 our lot on for them every day with bulkers

Have they lost the Mama’s & Papa’s contract then? That was their bread n butter work after ICI work tailed right off. They used to do quite a lot of subby work for Princes at Bradford too but Bannister’s seem to do all that now.

Who was TM back then? I can’t remember his name now. Early 50s slim guy with glasses, drove a Rover. I remember Mark there but can’t remember the name of the other guy.

Jack Hanson (The tipper man) is still fit n well, being driven around in his smart blue Bentley
last i heard he was thinking about getting in to the biomass job with 40’ walking floors
