Hanging up the passport

I’m still at a loss as to why I’m being started on in the first place, let alone being called a ‘know it all’ just because I have the cheek to have an opinion having only done the job a mere two years, although I really don’t know what I’ve said that was so controversial to upset people in the first place. I didn’t realise only people with X number of years are allowed to have their say around here, if thats the case then it should be made clear from the beginning. As for being ‘Smiffy’ elsewhere, most definetely not. I’ve never been a member of another truck forum.

If you were robinhood1984 and your dad is German then even senile people have long memories. If not then blame Jessicas Dad :stuck_out_tongue:

To be honest the office role i dont get alot of luck with as for some reason people dont want ex drivers working in there office but im sure i will find a possition soon.

They’re probably scared stiff that an ex driver might try to apply a bit of common sense and logic & know that you can’t just nip, its only 2 inches on the map at 5pm on a Friday with 15 minutes driving left.

spacemonkey if you have the attributes to work in a transport office great (your head so far up the bosses [zb] that you smell roses a telling of at least twice an hour from a superior ) find an office job away from transport they ll probly be wary of you from day one and leave you alone

Thank Gawd, cos I think smiffy is an absolute ■■■■■■!!!

I came off the road at the age of 50 to work as a TM, I mistakenly thought how great it would be to work a regular routine, home every night, every weekend off.

The job itself was actually very good, but the aspect of working in an office was not what I expected, petty bickering, infantile behaviour, even to the point where you couldn’t move a chair without calling in the maintenance man (he was trained to move a chair    ).

After 6 months I couldn’t get out of the place fast enough, people that work in offices are a different species, much the same as they think us drivers are a lower form of life.

I wish you luck Spacemonkey, you will gain great respect from the drivers once they know you are ‘one of them’, you have my greatest admiration

Good look comin off Euro, can i have your job lol, been lookin for euro for ages in northwest  worth a chance

Well i would not suggest going to work for Sims Worldwide as they have not paid me my final week or my holiday pay which is nice just before xmas, so off to the court to get the money im owed.
