I’ve drove off with a fork lift in my trailer before. This was completely the forklift guy’s fault. he told his boss that he was done and then i was told to leave. so even with dock locks and silly key issues, accidents will still happen.
Concerning handing over your keys and the wtd?.
If you hand over your keys ( which i think is a sensible option) then can you be classed as being on a period of availability as you dont have the keys so therefore not available to start work■■?.
Maybe it could work in the favour of those of us who dont mind handing our keys in?.

Its entirely a h&s issue that truck is going NOWHERE if the keys are on the dock i cant see the problem with some people not handing their keys in.
The problems are as stated on numerous occasions above. And regarding H&S This whole Health & Safety ■■■■■■■■ is one of the main reasons this country is going to the dogs.

Not at all, but I bet you said that just to wind the majority of us up. If that’s what this debate has turned into then I can’t say I’m surprised.
And ElGordo, Wake up, CCTV is not a 100% sure-fire way of recovering stolen iems, many depots have dummy cameras as a “detterent” and as for the theiving scumbag that legs it with your drivers bag, containing your wallet, car keys, credit cards, pictures of your kids, CCTV is no good once the police have finally bothered to arrive, indentify the suspect, pick him up and he gives it “two fingers to the law” as he’s already spent anything of value and binned the rest.

ive had people give me back my notes and all signed with my keys before when they are still tipping as i do containers this is bad because half the time its handball so you dont feel it!! 
as about morrisons in wakefield i go there to the grandstand warehouse opposite coke cola with containers we never have to site in a corridor by a smelly bog.
