I read some old posts about them, most seemed to be refering to working for them as a subby which didn’t look to good. Anyone know what they’re like to drive for?
I only know that the FX branch took on a lot of Polish drivers about 1 year ago. The UK drivers I spoke to complained they didn`t get an hourly rate so they ended up sitting around the docks on some flat daily rate. They had a crafty bonus scheme worked out on mileage & loads. I stand corrected if this has been changed. The best money on containers used to be Star ( Gold Star? ) Transport.
if the wages are anything like their rates the interview you be good for a laugh.
appoached them 18 months ago for some work but in the end never went, had a letter from them a few weeks ago telling me how they’d upped their rates and would i still be interested?
the rates had gone up 3p from £1.09 to £1.12 in a time where diesel had gone up 15p a ltr, hmm let me think.
