You were spot-on , sorry about the mistake it should read Hague Transport .

“Hague” is indeed a name I remember from that area. Blue TKs with white lettering? Or was that Hedges?

Prior to the WB Anderson take-over in 1966, Hague Transport’s livery was red & royal crimson with gold leaf lettering. This evolved steadily over the years as Harry built the company up following de-nationalisation, but each incarnation was more of an art-form than a livery (especially by today’s standards). Afterwards, it changed to blue with the big white dot and white lettering. When WCF took over from Andersons, this gradually changed to white over sky blue with silver chassis, then blue and now plain white. The Harry Hague fleet, which also operated from Briars Lane, was two-tone green.

Harry Hague ran one of the best turned-out fleets of the day, some would say ever; although I couldn’t offer an opinion in those terms. It was never a big operation, but plenty of people knew of them and thought well of them. This was obvious when William Hunter unveiled his restored Atkinson in the Hague livery, such was the warm reception it got.
