After 18 1/2 years of driving HGV’s I’ve had my first blowout today
Zb’ing scared the life out of me when it went [emoji47]
Middle n/s tyre on the trailer

Wait until you experience a front axle blow out, then you’ll really experience the ‘oh my god’ moment as your arse falls out your ring.

Wakes you up, don’t it!
Lights still intact, no other vehicles hit with debris, if only your beer was spilt when you reacted, it’s pretty good.

“you been hitting those kerbs again” is what my old boss would’ve shouted…

Only took one side marker out but left the plug to it intact ,
No other vehicle hit with tyre as it was a n/s tyre
Even the mud flaps were still serviceable

Nope they’re just fabric tails poking out
You could see the rusty parts in the cords where the nails were

I only had one front blowout but I was stationary at the time so not too bad. I parked on a construction site in Nottingham, the ground gave way and a gas valve went straight through the tyre! Had many rears blow though, two Cavalier retreads on one journey, and when I had a six wheeler Foden had two new ATS Sterlings in two days on the same wheel! Second time it took the mudguard and lights with it, we didn’t fit anymore of those tyres.
Pete.

The money saved on the tyre is kinda out weighed by cost of new back lights and mud guards
