Pay attention 007…

These escape techniques from the initial ‘FAIL’ can save your life…

I was told to bunny hop out of the area?

That is the correct way. I was taught this nearly ten years ago by my trainer when taking my crane ticket. I was horrified the other day watching a grab-loader loading himself with a load of muck. He came into contact with the lower cable of FOUR unsheaved copper cables at least three times…I was waiting for the bang. When he finished I asked him if it did not worry him about touching the wires he said, ‘Nah, as long as you dont touch two together you are OK’ even if it does I have got rubber tyres that are insulating me.
A potential Darwin award winner methinks!

I stand on the lorry to operate the crane-in the event of overhead contact/ arcing we are told to stay where we are!!
If you have to jump for it keep your feet together…
Don’t fancy staying put to be honest…
I think i’ll just keep an eye out for overheads as usual
