H E WOODCOCK

Looking for HE Woodcock photos, older the better, if anyone can help? Thanks

Sorry, no photos, but I remember our firm having a reciprocal backload arrangement with Woodies in the late 70’s. They loaded us with apples for Bulmers, Hereford from Kent & we backloaded them with coal & coke from South Wales. Very tidy motors with an attractive livery, wasn’t it two-tone green?

Im not sure what year Woodcocks shut down, mu dad drove an 8 wheel mk5 Mammoth major for them for years, reg was 5UKK
I worked there when i passed my test, driving a 1626 merc for a few years.

Locks tankers are still going strong and now have the old Unigate dairy site for a yard. Frozen food would have been delivered to Shearway food just pasy locks old yard.
Sadly no pics of any of this tho.
