From what I’ve heard GXO are the Pitt’s
Whatever XPO were like to work for before it went to GXO will be a better question as nothings changed apart from the name and orange stickers on units instead of red.
Never worked for them but have took containers into their site. Yard is a shocker, reversing onto bays with no buffers you stop when trailer hits the concrete wall.
Doesn’t help much but every little , done alot of work out of xpo and gxo lately and their drivers seem spot on and happy enough , don’t think xpo are as bad as there made out to be just a bit behind with their wages. Gxo seem to pay a bit more than xpo?

‘‘seem’’ is the key word here. I would read the fine print

In my experience every single XPO/GXO site pays wildly different wages and have wildly different T’s & C’s. It usually depends upon who they were before Nobbies took them over, ie Christian Salveson, Swifts etc.

Is there any difference between GXO/XPO apart from different tee-shirts,I ask because we went to XPO then couple of month later GXO and nothing changed apart from we got a pen and water bottle with new name on,is it a tax fiddle or what?

I got the same useless goody bag! Oh, I also had to ■■■■ about with a new pay portal (whatever TF that means). Absolutely zero has changed at our place, but neither did it when we changed from Dingle Dangles to XPO. The conspiracy theorists reckon that they’ve hived off all the potential money losers to the GXO brand in case it all goes ■■■■ up, thus ensuring that XPO’s share price doesn’t potentially take a hit.
It’s one theory, but I don’t really care as long as the money is in my account every Friday.

That makes sense then,I’m on the beer job(Ex-K&N) shortly after the takeover announcement Heineken spilt the contract between 6 different hauliers that we’d had for over 20 year,then came lockdown where all the keg beer stopped,they must have lost a fortune(looked like K&N stitched them up good) we were shocked to get a good pay rise and seem to think they only gave us it because we won’t be here next year so they won’t be paying us anymore anyway

Problem is it’s outside money and naff all to do with XPO which leads us to believe that they’re getting ready to drop us like a hot potato. I’m not particularly bothered as our conditions are excellent and any new employer will still need lorries and drivers.

I’m expecting it next year,every Ex-K&N contract has been put into the GXO name now and there all hospitality based which has had a bad 18 month,K&N kept everything else,they must have had a crystal ball
I worked at primary transport at Livingston and like Yorkielad can vouch for all the XPO shenanigans. Got a white cotton xpo bag with a pen a watr bottle hand sanitiser and on the 1st jan 21 got a personal card from the XPO UK boss. We lost all our primary work to a local haulier (rhymes with ■■■■■■■■!) and our english depots lost out to the other 5 hauliers. Karma a few weeks ago when Heineken couldnt deliver the beer to the pubs and they were moaning that they didnt have the drivers. Well they had a dedicated fleet of core drivers who bent over backwards for them and they shafted them. Good luck to all my ex k&ndl colleagues wherever you may be.
