Which just leaves the question of the available length between the radiator and the drive axle input flange if we’re going to shoehorn an 8LXB and 9 speed Fuller into a BigJ tractor unit.

I seem to remember the description clearly stating the problem of the ( right hand ? ) bank being fed by the already heated water from the ( left hand ? ) bank ?.Because it didn’t have separate coolant passages for both banks from the water pump ?.
Yes an inline engine has a similar issue for cylinders furthest from the water pump but not the ‘same’.

My advice is somewhat pot and kettle.
I push him for answers when he talks bs, when he’s backed into a corner and proven wrong, his stock reply is “It’s perfectly understandable” that he got it wrong. A week later he’s arguing the same point.
Look how many fellows described to him how to use a 15speed RoadRanger, he still doesn’t know the difference between a range change and splitter.

Not seen the 15 speed Fuller thread i only got to 13 speed 8 over 4 .Where do the other 2 gears come from and the 18 speed? Are the 18s 8 over 8 with 2 crawlers?
I just got fed up with him veering from one side to the other. He fires into subjects based on the first searches that come up on Google and then tries to double down when you point out the faults in his argument. Then he introduces something else in the same sentence. I wonder at times if English is his first language.
Fair play to anyone that want’s to engage with him but it’s not for me - I have my sanity to protect. A plus point is that I’m guessing that it really annoys him that I don’t respond to any of his posts even when he’s replying to some of mine.
Aaaah, so you’re to blame for inflicting him on us. I wish I could make my mind about him, half the time I love his bizarre ramblings, the rest of the time I don’t know what the hell he’s rambling about. ( thinking about it I suspect HE hasn’t a clue what he’s on about)

Yeah like a ZF 16 speed (ooops can i mention synchro boxes) same layout but with 2 crawlers and the 15 is a 13 with 2 crawlers i guess
