Hi, has anyone had any problem managing to get a Group 2 medical during the lockdown? DVLA are obviously still sending the renewal application forms for Group 2 licences along with the medical form but I have heard that up here in our area (Aberdeenshire), some drivers are having difficulty in managing to get a medical. Their own doctors are refusing to do it and the private clinics have also closed. Does anyone know if it is possible for DVLA to extend the expiry of a licence if a driver is unable to get a medical?
I have not had any renewal forms sent from DVLA, no D47P or D4 and my licence runs out 1st May…2 weeks time…but then again I’m retiring anyway. But what if I wasnt ? I have rung them with no reply or on hold for hours. I might renew just to hold the entitlement when all the virus scare is over.
