Gritter drivers do they need to pass a test?

You’d definitely need a class 2 licence. :laughing:

Yes, recently did the asessments myself. Can’t speak for other employers, but mine was a City and Guilds course (Health and Safety training, vehicle training and driving assesment). Something similar to this: http://www.cityandguilds.com/1663.html

yes just renewed mine ,i day H&S etc another day driving ,with plough on , couple and uncouple plough etc
city and guilds winter service operator :laughing: but as with most other certificates its not a legal requirment
