I think you will find that stillers shifted some of them.

the wrk was subbed out to people who had low enough stepframes

I can confirm that Stillers did move some, as did Dave Hogg’s motor’s Both of whom are regularly used by STG(Specialist Transport group) who organised the work. (STG do not run trucks but specialise in organising “Difficult loads to difficult places”)

A very good friend of mine (Big Dave B) was on the job for Stillers

Thanks Rikki, I knew i had not dreamt it. :confused:
We had two trucks running together with me as a second man and an ■■■■■■ car,

We got looked after very well at the ■■■■■■ drivers home each weekend, Hot baths and home made food, too much beer and homemade wine.

The lad who was running the project for STG was a very nervous chap by the time all 32 pods got to Dartford and then taken up river by barge.

Unfortunately I dont have any photos but it was a good job with movements in daylight only. Except in Belgium when they had to be moved at night. :angry:
