Gregory's distribution widnes

Anybody work out of here? Just had a call about an interview. Where do they run out off?

xxicelandicxx:

Don’t know what you mean by “wildness”.

They run out of Kingsbury Road, Minworth, Sutton Coldfield B76 9DD on
the Cadbury chocolate contract and the Cemex cement contract that
supplies “Climafuel” for the cement furnaces (made from household waste).
.
Gregory’s are a decent outfit and the Cadbury work is a good job.
I don’t know about the Cemex work or any other contracts they may have.
.
.

Sorry I meant widnes, predictive text gone wrong!

Not sure what that contract is but . . .

. . . chilled salad fridge work seems to ring a bell.

No luck with the Irish yet then ?

The Biofuel is easy work but you are always pushed to get the loads out. Never went to Cemex at Rugby although I had site induction. You will never moan about H&S anywhere else once you go there.

Walking floor trailers are badly maintained. I spent many times shovelling loads where the headboard had jammed.

The curtain side stuff is fine. Not pushed hard. So long as drops are done where possible.

All the above is based on Avonmouth but gives you an idea.

Just wondering what they do out of widnes area then? As it’s night tramping on fridge work!

I was doing Dairy Crest on fridges for a while. Don’t know if that’s just a local thing or if they do it all over.

Is it definitely fridge work? As far as I’m aware, the only trucks Gregory’s base in Widnes service the Metsa (Finn Forest) contract.

Yep Harry it is, this is description of job!

I’ll PM you about a Class One job in Stoke that has just surfaced.

Ok seems like I’ve got one of these jobs out of widnes, I start in a week, they mentioned a booker contract etc so not sure what it entails so will be interesting! Money don’t seem bad , not sure what motor will be but I’ve seen plenty scanias, hope they kitted out well but can’t see it as I don’t know of ny that put microwave and fridge in uk wise anyhow.

So anybody else on here starting as well!

When I was delivering to Chef Direct (Booker in old money) at Didcot, there were loads of Gregory’s trailers in the yard, so that sounds about right.

Do Gregory’s pay monthly or weekly ?

Gregory’s are taking over the milk contract from Turners as of February. I’m still undecided on whether I’m staying or not. What are they like to work for?
