Seen 3 times this week … Gregory’s units pulling Philsons trls … one of which was a YELLOW Gregory’s unit ( not usual brown ).

It’s surprising how many different transport companies are owned by John Gregory.

There was a little story doing the rounds that William Stobart wanted to buy Gregorys so Billy threw his cheque book over John’s desk and said, “Just fill it out with any amount you want and I’ll pay it”. When Stobarts were struggling financially a few years ago, John threw £20 on Billy’s desk and said, “It’s a fair price!”
