Dont you just hate it when the lane is blocked.
How the ■■■■ did he get out.
Well his a class 1 driver and not a bin driver so he can easily get out we are trained more
Easy to laugh, but,
Looks like an industrial building in residential area, possibly with weight limits and/or parked cars on corners?
.
Far easier to end up somewhere awkward than some would imagine. With or without satnav/street view/ friendly pedestrians giving advice/ knowing it`s “justa little bit down ere” it is tempting to go on just a little too far.
.
Backing onto the grass in November may not be the best way out though!

Yea right all that extra training to drive forward all day until you need to get into a bay.
We have had more class 1 drivers come and go than i have had hot dinners they don’t like all the tight reversing into back alleys etc that we have to do numerous times a day every day.

This is true. We do wide loads into building sites, council estate refurbishment sewer treatment works etc etc and it gets rather difficult. We have class 1 come and go like a revolving door. I once saw a fella cry because he couldn’t hack it.
I have a class 1 and done lowloaders, containers, bulkers and curtainsiders but nothing comes as close to being as difficult as this on rigid.
Spot on msgyorkie
I imagine both jobs have their individual difficulties i was not dissing all artic drivers but moronic statements like the one above by TruckDriverBen really do boil my ■■■■.

It`s a known fact that Class 1 (C+E) drivers are infallible…so I doubt he really has got the correct licence.

I’m with you Bin Man, 90 degree dog legs in an alleyway to get both in and out… Plus dealing with all the illegally parked cars in tight residential streets: Many a Class 1 driver has baulked at that IME
Plus dealing with all the illegally parked cars in tight residential streets:
Spot on, this is what makes the job a right pain in the arse, we report the cars to enforcement and that’s as far as it goes no one takes any notice of letters telling them they are illegally parked and the police are so under staffed nothing is done so week after week the same cars block the same alleys and we have to go back later to see if the cars have moved wasting time and fuel.
This is another problem we see daily and i am sure all of us have come across this whatever we drive selfish, ignorant, thick or maybe all three.
Really intelligent drivers there, double parking on a road so an ambulance or fire engine couldn’t get through, let alone a dustcart.

It’s you bloody idle bin wasters who want sorting , you didn’t take my waste bin as apparently it was the wrong way round ( handles not to the road ) , I’d wheeled it from the bottom of the garden to the top of the drive , you wasters couldn’t turn it round , bloody 2 sec job , only time in 20 yrs I’ve put it the wrong way round & you won’t take it , all fit 20-30 yrs olds , not some 60 yr old with multiple illnesses ,
Get off your ■■■■■■■ asses , walk up the roads& fetch the bloody bins , I mean my mate who’s a bin man is always bragging he only does 6/7 hrs a ■■■■■■■ day
Hopefully you do my culdesac next Tuesday , I’m parking my focus one side of the road , with my mrs fiesta opposite , hopefully you’ll come knocking on my door , but I doubt it , the top of the drive is about your limit
And as for your Xmas bonus , not a ■■■■■■■ chance ,

Dozy get a job on the bins/recycling it would be perfect for you, Mon-Friday only (can eat steak dinner at home)
And you will learn some respect for the poor guys & girls that have to put up with self entitled folk who think they should have their box/bin collected from the front door
