Greek Haulage Strike

The Greeks have been out for a week, they stuck together. The government looks like its had to cave in and give them what they want. If this doesnt make you think nothing will.

where did you get the info from. there has been nowt on the news sites

Depending on which news report you read depends on the reasons for the strike.

‘lorry owners hired by the state to provide freight transport services went on strike in reaction to the port workers’ strikes, as they felt that their interests were also being affected’.

Another report says the strike was about ‘unemployment benefits and pensions’

I believe it’s the port workers that are on strike, thus the hauliers are unable to operate anyway as a lot of haulage is ‘inter-island’.

Tiger.
