Great trainer robbery

In case any of you saw anyone running away from the scene.

Seriously though, hope the driver is OK. Not a nice thing to wake up to.

I thought, here we go another DCPC story.

Who in…

Their right mind thinks leaving a lorry load of Nike trainers in a lorry in an unsecured area overnight is a good idea?

:unamused:

Says was parked at Abington services.
The services should take responsibility.
Instead of putting up signs saying we take no responsibility for damage or theft from veichels.
Cost average £25 a night to park at motoway services.
Times how ever many trucks were talking thousands a night.
Won’t cost them much to employ a few security guards on nights to patrol the car park
Truck insurance company’s where made a claim should be putting pressure on services to provide security.

Had the curtains cut at Gretna and southwaite both times with the back doors open to show it was empty thick tools

You’d think that other drivers would at least take a sneaky peak around the back before they ■■■■■ the curtains after taking a ■■■■■ along side the trailer

I can’t help wondering if they’ve got the driver “helping police with their enquiries”, and blaming it on an “inside job”. Would it be too much for the haulier to arrange a secure truck park for the night rather than leaving the driver to make his own arrangements?

Not a wise move to night-out with that much (easily disposable) goods on board.

Does it actually say what sort of vehicle it was?
Many think that a container, fridge or box with a bar on the back are secure. They aren`t.
Clearly more difficult that a taut, but by no means unbreakable.

Police and insurers will be looking very closely at this from lots of angles.

They should send all right shoes in one truck and all the left ones in another, just need to stay away from one legged thieves then

I can’t believe they went in and just did it
