Nice bit of bridge bashing, perhaps the signs agent big enough
So what’s he hit the warning gantry on the other side?
A bit ironic is that, he gets under the bridge, but the thing to stop him cabbaging his trailer…cabbages his trailer. Or have I missed something.
Has it just been put up maybe?
If so why only on one side?
I mean he seemed pretty confident he could get under by the way he approached it.
Or am I giving him too much credit?
Grantham innit…
It’s hard to tell exactly which bit has connected. I’m surprised it wasn’t the front with Skarneearse ridiculously out-dated mid-lift up in the air by another 6 inches axle.
The gantry on both sides has been there for donkey’s.
I go under it several times a week, it’s dark, narrow and if you meet another artic it’s tight.
IMO, he’s over 14" 3’ any way.

Watching it again I think you’re right.
1.09…
Front has sustained damage.
Be interesting to see what he’s set his cab height indicator at.
Would have gone under with the axle down me thinks. We need our resident Grantham member to comment, not you the Dozy one.

Lift axle is up. You can see it as he passes. Smart Scania S-series, shame about the bell-end driver. I think I’d have been more worried about the cab hitting the bridge than the trailer. The Highline S-series are very high cabs once you factor in the air-kit.

To be honest, and believe me, it feels weird to be on the dozters side (
), but that is all you can do to pallets of water. Or pop or other drink. You cant ratchet strap them, that will just pull straight through the wrapping and split the pallet. I, and thousands of other drivers, take these loads daily with only the internals as a feeble means of support. It truly is about ‘driving to the load’ and anticipating traffic.
Something cozy failed in. But, judging by the shocking number of shot loads n Stobrat trailers I saw in Magor, he’s in experienced company…
