Herself bought this book for me, and it arrived yesterday. Well, I’ve hardly put it down! Chris Cooper has done the journey that I always wanted to do, ie, follow the old A1 all the way from end to end. I thought it would be impossible, but Chris has done it, and it’s fabulous.
It’s a road I travelled a fair bit in the 60s and 70s, so its a real nostalgia trip for me.

Hi emmerson 2 if I remeber rightly there was a video or film of the road I think it might have been on you tube or it was on hunter archives so that might go along with the book.All the best pete407sw.
