Grants Pics..

awesome pics mate… just 1q how come the aussies all have american style trucks and the lads over in new zealand have all european trucks■■?

most of grants pics are american trucks from nz.

All photos so far are taken in New Zealand

grant do you have one of the kenworth, think its blue and yellow, with a custom made front on it ? might be something to do with a medical company or something.

Last one as im away for a few days…new Scania from 360 Haulage based in Auckland and does a wairakei driver swap - dan will know what im on about

Nah i dont sorry mate, theres some on xt

First I’d like to thank you about sharing these pics. I really like these.

GrantNZ:

Can you give some numbers about the typical load and gross weights of this type outfits? Here in Finland this type outfits are limited to 60 tonnes (60 000 kg) GVW. Actually only seven axles are required for that weight, but eigth is common to prevent overload on trailers rear axle. Here typical load capacity is somewhere around 36 to 39 tonnes for curtainsider, but you probably have different GVW limits and these seem also a bit higher than ours (our height limit is 4.2 metres).

Hi grant.Theres not many of us left in taupo…Well only seven and the offices have now closed.Wages and stuff all the same but just so many safety regs…boo! I dont think the job will be ever the same as it was when i started 8months ago.You had to go hard then but the new office leave you hanging around abit. :frowning:

By the the kw customised that glennman was on about i think is a freightliner that i have seen up and the sh1 with some sort of healthcare trailer…truck of the future or something.

Kwalitee pics :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Ive been working for tullochs for nearly a year now, they cover mainly the south island, this is my truck,a freighliner columbia, its not bad compared to some of the other bits of scrap we run

Cool Gav, Im actually good mates with David Kinch
Some of the tulloch gear is well…now they got Retko to

Yeah i know what you mean grant about some of our gear, im fairly lucky in that mines only 3 years old, it will do for know anyway, yeah dave does our company calender every year, and his Mrs Angela is my wifes, sister in laws and mother in laws hair dresser, dave was out with me a few months ago taking that picture ready for the calender, i dont think retko trucks will end up bein as bad as some of our older ones though to be fair, most are run by owner drivers on the retko side of things, not sure if you know john donnelly, the scotch bloke, he runs 2 scannys out of chch and they are both well looked after

that owens scania is a belter… crackin reg on it as well… :sunglasses: :sunglasses:
