Im intrigued by those reels in Limmasol, Cyprus. What is a Technip" reel, some sort of on board cable laying system??

How did you manage to move them on the docks if they were not secured by any chains??

Looks like a great job, should imagine that it is a hard company to get on for!!

Thanks mate, Technip is company who make and lay gas piping ect the yellow stuff you see on the side of road but its in in long lenths hence the big reels,google them mate and look at the DEEP BLUE ship its a bit of thing. it was a local lad moving it we are keeping well out of the way!! Yes we get about a bit!

Excellent pictures, some of the best on here. You lot sure carry some interesting gear all over the place!
Always interested me oil and gas equipment and the trucks that transport it.

we just had 2 trucks down to haifa in israel phil leadbitter and paul younger with the offshore gear

think their is a bit of a waiting list but you never know right time right place and all that

Very nice run for someone then!! Out of interest which route did they take to get there?? Didnt think you could go overland to Isreal due to the problems of transiting the arab countries and I didnt think the ferry to Haifa was still running? Was / is that the one from Pireaus??

Sounds a great trip anyway.
