Gotta admire the initiative

How did he get away with that ?
I always think the regs here are far softer the in the UK but that guy wouldn’t get 10 miles over here before being stopped by police, it wouldn’t matter how securely strapped of chained it was.

Hope he put the handbrake on

And before the “taking pics whilst driving accusations appear” my passenger took the photo. :-/. :-/

see that nearly everyday on the M25/M20 normally Romanian reg trucks with 3/4 cars in the back, exported for the parts, no different than having timber packs hanging out the back :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

I know your allowed a metre overhang but looking at the pic I’d say maybe its a tad over…

They export them repair them and convert to left hand drive.

I dont see a problem it looks well strapped, it looks odd and a bit of a head turner. But looks safe enough.

Are we looking at the same picture?

Looking again I think you’re right sir…
Just imagined 3 and a bit of my feet and yep it just looks precarious…we move cars and we have had a bit of the car hanging out but we always (we move classic cars ) have the wheels on the truck bed.

strapped at the rear wheel and its not possible to say where else

looking at the wheel arch room it could be sat on pallets

Looks like UK to me, Hard shoulder - Lane 1 - Passing vehicle Lane 2

I have no doubt it’s the UK Waco, we don’t stupid looking things like that on the roads here
… I take that back ! we have Chevy Aveos and those f*****g Kia Soul piles of junk

Nothing wrong with that in my opinion

See it regularly at our place! Eastern european trucks come in and load salvage cars in taughtliners and off they go! If they don’t quite fit it does not seem to bother them! Seen all sorts go in the trailers and they don’t always secure them that well.

+1

The doors are approx. 1 metre (just over) and the doors would more than cover that overhang.

Seems 100% legal to me assuming nothing else in the trailer can fall out the back - most likely just other cars that are also strapped down, so no probs in my eyes.

We used to have the last aircraft pallet hanging out the back of the trailer when we had goose-neck style roller beds at K+N - 3 aircraft pallets wouldn’t quite fit on the bed :unamused:

Yes, you can legally overhang both length and width with say a portakabin or something like that. The issue with things like this and those Marshalls farm trailer pics, on another recent thread, are they aren’t an indivisible load.
