Got the job at warbutons initally on a 3 month fixed contract but hey ho lifes for taking calculated risks they seem like a good company to work for looking forward to it any current employees or ex employees feel free to let me know what ive let myself in for
Well done. The only reports I’ve had are fair. They want their pound of flesh but are prepared to pay for it. No room for scivers. Must be able to deal with early starts of course. Decent, but not posh, fleet.
Big operation so scope to move upwards if you have your sights set higher.
Well done mate, they offered me it but I turned it down due to the fact I would be travelling about an hour and a half each way and I can’t afford to do that with the wage they were paying.

Just keep applying 2 Anyone someone will give u a chance eventually never assume u don’t have enough experience for the job the right attitude will go a long way
The questions they were asking were absolutely ridiculous to be fair, “describe a time when you have helped a colleague develop their career further?” oh please, not sure what that has to do with my ability to drive a truck haha. Typical interview lingo though.

i do a bit of work for warburtons in eastwood, the class 2 men are on ÂŁ90 a day, which isnt bad when youve learnt the runs, coz you can usually get finished in around 8/9 hours.
you will end up doing your share of weekends which i dont think you get any extra for unless youre doing a sixth shift.
allthough some of the fleet are getting on a bit they are well maintained.all the staff i have encountered have been very nice, and the general atmos is relaxed.
the only down side where i am concerned is the mid-week agency rate is poor(class 1)hence i only do weekend work for them now that things have picked up.
