Any newbs that have recently passed there mod 4 can you please give me any heads up for my test on friday thanks
Welcome to the forum
There is a standard set of questions which the examiner will pick random questions from each category.
Each category has its own pass mark as well as an overall pass mark. I believe it is 75% for each category.
Find a trainer that has a demo trolley and can take you through all the restraint devices.
Also make sure you know your way round the daily checks and the immigrant / drugs checks thoroughly.
There is a helpsheet that was freely available. flairtraining.co.uk/universi … ercpcmod4/
The biggest and most helpful bit of advice is SAY EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING.
Good Luck.

Thanks mate that link is awsome getting my head into it now.
With being in the forces and obtaining my licence after sept 2009 i have to go and spend money on mod 2 and 4 because were exempt from doing it and dont require it.
Also i have my ADR certificate tankers all classes except 7. Dunno where to start finding work for this ?
Work is scarce all over at the moment.
At least you have added bonus of ADR so will be more employable.
Agencies is a good place to start although they are not all good.
Try local hauliers in the area. Sometimes you can be right place at the right time.
Others have mentioned on here before that some employers take a dim view of ex forces with reference to their driving ability. Unfortunately I cannot qualify this statement. Only hearsay from other threads on this forum. Maybe better just to leave that bit out.
As already said, Good luck on Friday. Go and try local agencies with a view to starting as soon as your CPC is done.

These are modules for the Initial CPC training for new drivers.
Different providers have different modules for Periodic Training. And btw there is nothing to say you have to do different modules to gain your 35 hours
Thankyou peeps i will let you know the results fingers crossed
hi, passed my module 4 on tuesday. Never got to use straps/ chains etc. examiner never even brought them out. make sure your up to date on your walk round daily checks etc and what you’d do in the event of an accident. show and tell. tell them what your doing and show them, going round the whole vehicle not just one wheel for example. as roy walker would say…“say what you see”. good luck.
Hi Vernon
In addition to the great advice above, you might want to take a look at all the possible questions you may be asked.

Good luck friday. If I could offer 1 single piece of advice it is, keep talking until the examiner seems happy with the answer. He will attempt to prompt you if he wants more. Dont give up on an answer until he says “OK next question”
Errrr. Ignore this
