How did you react on the phone, I like to think I would have responded positively by saying, it fully understood, times are hard and I apprecuate you letting me know etc etc. That way you stay at the top of the pile when they do eventually need another driver.

Easier said than done though mate.
In all honesty, i did remain calm, and as you said, reacted positively smiling all the while down the phone with gritted teeth
However, if the TM did not know how busy they are, is that a failing on their behalf, or is just a way out of it ?

yes…i would think you`re the next man in,when something does come up.
Hopefully i would like to think thats the case, so in the mean time, crack on with the agency and await phone calls from other company’s i suppose
Spent a few happy years working for them in the 90’s, good bunch in the office and garages, not great money it’s true but not a job you need to slog yourself to death over either. A few have left over the years in the hunt for money but come back again.
