Got an interview / assesment :) any tips?

Hi all,
I have been doing some agency work in a class 2 since June/July and recently some class 1. it’s been all shop drops so no dropping of trailers and such. I have been applying for jobs and have now been called for an assesment and interview by 2 companies, for class1 trunking work, one this week and one next week.
It’s been a while since I have had an assesment so any hint’s and tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

Drive how you would drive a truck and not how you think the assessor thinks you should drive.Take charge of the truck and drive it like you would every other day

Be yourself when your driving trying too hard can work against you, relax and enjoy an assessment is there to see that your safe and competent.
As for trunking should be a doddle after doing shops if yours are anything like the poundland shops I do you will be fine.

The trouble with that is - its up to the assessor whether you pass or not :unamused:

Just give it a nice safe drive and give it loads of mirrors etc - treat it like your test and do things correctly and you’ll be fine. Oh and good luck

Thanks for the reply’s.
It’s just that it’s been a while, I only got back into driving after a 6 year break and don’t want to shoot myself in the foot or mess up this opportunity.
Not many companies or agency’s seem to want to give me a chance since I have not been driving for at least the last six months.
