Asking me to send my licence to them (I have not seen the letter yet as I am not home till atleast tomorrow night).
My wife read it to me. The reason they have asked for it back is to add the fact I need glasses for driving. I passed my car test in 1998 with glasses on and my C and C+E just over 2 years ago. I have always told them I need glasses for driving.
So they have missed that fact since 1988!!

They will stick you an 01 restriction on the licence, but if you need correction to read a numberplate, it will be on every class.
Make sure you scan both sides of it first because if they have already made one error then…
I have an 01 code but only on my LGV C & CE categories
No 01 code on B BE C1 C1E which were gained prior to 1997
I have glaucoma in my right eye only and need to wear a corrective lens in glasses over my right eye (no lens in left side of glasses) but only if I cannot see the right mirror with my left eye when sitting in normal driving position - how weird is that!!
I do not mind, just the fact it has taken them this long (22 years!!)

Check your maths as well as your eyesight Paul! 1998 to 2011 in my book only comes to 13 years!

PMSL I got the 22 years right, just put the wrong date when I passed my test. Should have been 1988

Hopefully they will have updated this when my licence is returned from getting my cat C. However, my photocard is up for renewal in June anyway
So they have missed that fact since 1988!!

Until my photocard got renewed recently I had code 01 on everything except C+E so I was able to take my glasses off when I hooked up the trailer
