Didnt he have a brother/cousin or something who had a/some lorrys? George Tullet? from Hadleigh?

I worked for him twice in the late 80’s wasn’t a bad job .had a yard in Hadliegh in Suffolk and trailer spaces in the truck park just outside the Blackwall tnl. work was Mainly coca cola or tinned tomatoes out of Ipswich. It was my First job after passing my test and had to do a test drive from Hadliegh to Ipswich which wasn’t a great road in an old Daf with a back to front gearbox without playing to many tunes on the gearbox lol. Was then trusted with a fairly new 360 ati 95 Daf which only had Leyland badges on it for some reason

Had a year with him at Hadleigh to.Drove one of the Fodens.

Backin the 80’s i seem to remember a company called Gordon Tullett, dark colour and white(maybe dark blue/black), all top of the line tacke( Scanias/Volvo’s/I even remember a high roof Foden) that was very neat and tidy in its day. Used to do a lot within the M25 to the likes of Coca Cola Sidcup and Edmonton…

Anyone else remember them, as i have asked a few older drivers and no one seems to remember them■■?

Martin Hampton drove for them, based in Ipswich IIRC

I remember Gordon when he had just the one truck,a Scania 142 Intercooler,he used to subby for Machins out of their Felixstowe depot.

IIRC when he sold the 142,it was bought by an ex-Goodways driver-Dave Allen-when he started up on his own pulling Ferrymasters trailers out of Ipswich.

I think I won one of those on the DLT Programme

I think they had a number of Fodens and they did look well, a very striking colour scheme

Don’t know much about them but remember seeing them about, and as Limey said they did look well.
