He has managed to stay in power long enough to stuff our economy

,

How did he manage this? Did he get everyone to borrow way beyond their means and then fold on the banks leaving them in the lurch but still paying massive bonuses to bosses?

He didn’t get people to borrow beyond their means, no. But he did make it nessasery. He was the man that was charged with regulating the finacial sector and was well aware the mortgage industry were encouraging borrowers to claim they earned more than they actualy were. The man is a tipical NuLabour MP.
ie; lying (zb), grossly incompetent.

Wheel Nut:
The greatest Scot we never had as PM was John Smith.

When he died in 1994 it was the greatest loss to modern British Politics. I don’t normally comment on politicians, and am certainly not a labour supporter, past present or future.

I just think we wuz robbed.

I think he was murdered, cloak and dagger stile. He died from a heart attack, which can be easily induced.

And who’se in line to do anything different? Compare Labour/Consertive and there’s not much policy difference where it matters

totally agree but lets all hope its not the greens that get in!! if they do then were all done for :frowning: bieng scottish the only way i see of getting away from lab/cons is to try snp. at the end of the day they’re all thiefs n liers. not 1 of them even try to carry out policy promises.

They do not have the brightest voters do they?

Hundreds of people could not find the party’s box as it was hidden under a small fold at the bottom of the list of European election candidates, the party said.

Hello,
Gordon Brown was the Best PM we have EVER had. He helped families, old people, schools and keept up OUT of the euro (unlike to Tories, who, at the first chance, wanted us IN, where we would be in the same mess as Greece!
Also, He never put fuel duty up as muchs these Bloody Tories we’ve got. Hauliers got it easy with Brown and come on, you must agree, there has been more Hauliers gone bust since May 2010 than there has been in the years that Brwon was in (see CM magazine & Malcolm Harrison Auctions website)

Yeah, but he helped them by borrowing huge piles of money that your grandchildren will still be paying off. He spent his whole time as chancellor talking about prudence and yet did exactly the opposite, leaving the country with an enormous debt mountain that will take for ever and a day to pay off. Short term gain for massive long term pain. He was in my mind a complete failure both as PM and Chancellor.

Paul

Maggie Thatcher started the rot by selling off the utilities and knackering the steel and coal industries. The others from both sides have just continued the downward spiral.

Hello Dave the Renegade,
I couldn’t agree more with you. I my home country ■■■■■■■■ there where over 10,000 people put out of work through the Maggie Thatchers time in power.
Never, Never Trust a TORY!!
■■■■■■■■ Gill

Most of the people that Maggie may have put out of work are retired now, but Gordon has since nicked all their pension money.

I would never trust Labour

I wouldn’t vote Tory if someone put a gun to my head.I haven’t any faith in any of the other parties these days.I vote for our sitting MP who is Liberal and is the only MP in my lifetime to hold a surgery in our village. To date he has held five over the years.
Nowadays I vote for the man and not the party,at least he tries to get things done and keeps people informed
