Just had a rude awakening at 250 when a foreign truck decided to rearrange the offside of my cab before driving off. Ty you ■■■■!
How to explain that to the boss. Not bad for the end of my first week.
Shame. …liked this job as well

Not your fault is it. May be on CCTV?
Worth leaving a dash cam powered all night…

They’ll have cctv guaranteed so you shouldn’t have too much to worry about just try and get it sorted quickly in case they over record it or something similar.
If you saw enough of it to know it was foreign, how come you don’t have the reg?

A good samaritan who witnessed it gave me the name, as did the driver parked next to him. I was to busy falling out of my cab whilst half dressed to get the plate. Struck out on the cctv as it doesn’t cover the truck park

Neither of them got the plate and you’re saying you liked the job as if you’re not going to have it tomorrow, the CCTV doesn’t show it. You were asleep so it can’t be your fault.
You appear to have done nothing wrong, so why wouldn’t you still have your job?

It may not, however the cameras with the ANPR that they use going in and out for detecting those who overstay the 2 hrs free, will definitely have caught it.

Very good point and you can access those pictures from the till in the shop.
Could it be possible that the left ■■■■■■ foreigner may have not realised what he has done depending what angle he left or he may have a dodgy licence or no insurance and did not want the attention of the police if they showed up.
I bet you absolutely ■■■■ yourself!!!
I had a chap just touch my wing mirror when I was asleep in the truck & I nearly had a heart attack.
Happened to me in Newport Pagnell services a while back. A Spanish lorry blind sided straight into my cab. Scared me to death - was only inches from my head! Fortunately the driver stuck around - he had to as he was embedded in my truck and couldn’t get free. I was carrying cars and worried that they may have got damaged. Managed to get contact details and help from other drivers.
Wasn’t until my heart had stop racing that I noticed I was wearing my steel toe cap boots and my pyjamas!
At least you don’t sleep in the buff!

bit off topic but saw a driver get out for a pee in the night wearing a onesie the other week made me giggle a bit
