one the my fellow gps boffins had lookat it and said there was a lot missing from it as allikaty has said give it 6 months as its opensource itll take time to get gooddies through for it
Cheers for the replies alli and alix…yes I think I will give it a few months, as its “brand” new there are bound to be a few niggles that will need ironing out and improving!!
I called T-Mobile yesterday…as an existing customer I would have to pay £329 for the phone!!! …yeah right, like im gonna do that!!
But I could apply for the phone as a new customer, get a new number, which I dont want or need and get the phone for…FREE!!!
The bod in the call centre couldnt explain why as an existing customer I too cant have it free!!!..“no sir”, he said, that benefit is only open to new customers!!
I think you are right, wait a few months then maybe try again!!
i’ve just got one. With 2 months remaining on my existing contract i had to pay £50. so far it seems to be a excellent phone, its taking a lot of getting used to. but i’ve found some brilliant applications (free of charge) the best so far is GPS tracker, you give friends your id number and the can track you in real time on the internet, so long as you’ve got it active.
I texted “upgrade” to 150 and it said i was due an upgrade. I Went to my local store and they said i had 3 months to go on my 18 months contract!
But i could have the g-1 for 30 something quid.
Ill wait and consider my options. Theres that many smartphones out or due out at the moment its hard to choose!
Sony ericsson experia, i-phone 3g, Htc touch, Blackberry bold, blackberry storm.

Ring T Mobile, ask them for a settlement on your account and go to another provider. I went to Orange and got 2 smart phones for less than the cost of 1 at T-Mobile and my old phone hasnt stopped ringing since offering me everything from ■■■ to shiny baubles

I really hope my boss doesn’t see this thread
it is a bit big brotherish but for those of us that spend all week away from home its good for them to know where we are, i’ve checked and it can be disabled in case i’m somewhere i shouldn’t be

That’s fine, if it’s your phone.
If it’s your bosses phone would you still be able to disable it?
Also, if my wife needs to know where I am that desperately, she can phone and ask. If I’m driving, she’ll just have to wait.
