Has anyone else updated Google maps recently. I did and it now has speed cameras on them.
Don’t know if it’s 100% accurate
But does my head in saying speed camera ahead.
Wish could delete it .as been driving about 20 years and in that time been caught speeding 3 times . So.dont need stupid app to tell me camera ahead.
But guess some people do
Dont tend to use google maps for directions, but suspect there’ll be an option to turn off notifications.
What phone you using as couldn’t find an option mentioning it in my Google maps on android v8 fully updated. But it might be phone specific.
Technically if you got caught 3x in 20 years you might need a camera alert. 
(Time to move before getting a clip round the ear).

I use a really crap method that ensures my licence doesn’t get anymore points on it.
Every now and again, on most roads, there is a round white sign with a red border and a number on it in black.
I stay at or below the black number. This system works as I haven’t managed to get caught speeding for about 10 years now.
I don’t have an app shouting at me either, although I do run the app to know what GPS speed I’m doing. 
Just turn the sound off.

google seems to be trialling it
Way things are going in years to.come with the technology.
I bet one day people will be using Google maps etc other devices. And say your speeding it could be maybe possible its linked to the police and be issued a ticket .

I downloaded an app to help me with cameras and speed traps. It’s free and works flawlessly, its called the I ball.
Find out which version you have, uninstall it and reinstall that version before the update. Should find a step by step way of doing so online
