Me oldman (Barcelona_Karl) is tipping in Kufstein, Austria (120km south of Munich) on Monday and is wondering if there anywhere good for the weekend to park up between Munich and Kufstein■■? or anywhere in them two places. If you could let us know that’d be great and i can pass the info on, thanks.

I havn’t been down there for at least 5 years, so I’m not up-to-date on that area, and my memory is a bit rusty as well
There used to be 2 autohofs on the A93, I can’t remember the junction numbers now but the one nearest Munchen was closed on Sundays.
I think this is the second one, which was open all weekend, but I can’t swear to it.
Hopefully someone else can confirm it, one way or the other. http://www.autohof-guide.de/lomo-autohof-raubling.html
Parking on the services on the border itself is another possibility. There was a resto’ there and the essential facilities, there’s also the village of Kiefersfelden (or is it Kufstein?) a bit of a walk away. Nothing too strenuous, a couple of km’s, thats all.
there are 2 Autohofs that I know of around that area, Autohof Raubling, which only has a snack bar, but there is a restaraunt in the same area (Italian), and Authof Endach, which is right by the delivery, I have stopped there, but can’t remember much about it
Two weeks ago I spent Sunday parked up at the Vaterstetten MSA on the A99 Münchener Ring.
The truck parking areas have recently been increased to about 100 on each side of the Autobahn, so no problems finding a space.
From the services it is a half hour walk to the S Bahn (local train) in Vaterstetten. 7€ for a day return into München.
I spent an enjoyable day at the fascinating Deutsches Museum (akin to The Science Museum in London), followed by a beer and some scran down the Hofbräuhaus, rounded off with a visit to the flicks to see Avatar on the night
Thank’s for replies, Ended up at a autohof at Kufstein sud, restaraunt ok , shop in garage, nice clean toilets and showers, FIVE EURO’S FIFTY, OUCH!, Erotik shop on site, and gentlemans club, two hundred metre’s up the road. Small Imbiss close by ( snack bar). Parking in or around this area is difficult at weekends, as transit route from Italy, Tried the autohof at Raubling , rammed with cab monkeys, been there before, forgot about it till i drove in the entrance. thx again

FIVE EURO’S FIFTY, OUCH!
You skinflint, think of the poor buggers forced to park up in the UK, with none of those facilities but costing 4 times that per DAY.
I’ll bet the food was pretty good too, unlike here, and that 5.50 was knocked off the price of a meal.
Some people you just can’t please
Five fifty euro’s for shower only, which is a bit steep, Nothing to park, I would rather pay and get money off food, too encourage people to use the facilitys, because one day you will look around and those places won’t be there because they could not make any money. I confused you with my wording of my original post, anybody who has had a weekend away with me knows i’m far from being a skinflint So anyone who is in Madrid next weekend better be ready too party

Oops, sorry
I thought you meant 5.50 for parking.
I was, of course, only joking anyway.
I also prefer to pay for parking, in German Autohofen style, probably truckstops in other countriess do the same thing too.
