Seem to remember the Buffalo I had new in 1973 had an extended n/s mirror arm that was angled forward about 45 degrees so that you could view it through the windscreen, very useful for checking when being ‘flashed in’ after overtaking, and when it was running OK the Buffalo did a lot of overtaking!
