Monday: Going extra for a customer and helping their staff out by handballing when required
Tuesday: Helped offload a truck driver near end of day since his tail lift wasn’t working (only took 15 mins with a couple hands)
Wednesday: Moving plt of flooring into warehouse for the people and moving some stuff to enable room (Was a narrow aisle + they would have had to move quite a few plt’s otherwise to fit FLT down.
Thursday: Going extra mile via various ways again for customer’s, helping other drivers first + getting stuck in (who wants to sit and wait for them to finish)
Friday: Get to a drop + guy doesn’t have a PLT truck (van with tl) so after already having got 4 plt’s off when he arrived, I helped the customer handball a 1 ton plt from pavement onto another plt at side of house (as it wouldn’t plt truck there) while the van driver unloaded his boards etc with one chap
Once that was done I let him borrow the plt truck and helped him get his plt off the van (was bloody heavy!). After that went round corner to drop last plt off, saving the customer putting the bags in van and going round.
Finally, chucked some money in for Pudsy collectors on route back to depot
I think this is what it’s all about, getting mucked in and helping each other, makes you feel great too.
