Goldstar or Jenkinsons?

Thanks

Money is good at Jennie’s but it’s all bonuses, so when you’re on leave basic pay. You’ll be run ragged. Don’t know about Goldstar, never done container work.

How does that work then?

What’s max you could earn?

As of May 2021

Jenkies is (I did 2 weeks) dirty work but you can earn a fortune

If you don’t mind loads of rubbish

This is incorrect. For at least 20 holiday days a year your pay should be averaged on the previous 52 weeks.

I’m sure that’s pay not not supliments like there’s is made up of . For every £100 of those that’s robbing your pension of £7 and there’s £175 of that each week £630 a year not going into your pension pot

Nope, includes over time, comission and bonuses.

Oh right didn’t think nites out and attendance allowances where included only taxable payments . But my point was more aimed at how jenkinsons and others use of things like meal allowances attendance allowances and nite out to bolster pay affects your pension mate

It’s known…

As smoke and mirrors. Two techniques widely used by magicians to divert the audience’s attention away from what is actually going on right in front of their eyes.
In short, making wage calculations more difficult and making small amounts of money ‘appear’ larger.

I fully take your point and agree it’s a nonsense. Night out money is non taxable but I’m not so sure about meal allowance and any load/mileage bonus certainly will be.
The comment made about bare pay whilst on holiday does make me wonder how many are still getting conned out of averaged holiday pay?

What, there are Hi-viz collectors!
They make trainspotters sound as interesting as a young Linda Lusardi in a swimming costume she must’ve put on in the dark.

Can’t comment on Jenkins…

But Goldstar was some of easiest work I have done, only down side was being a limper I was given a [zb] heap battered merc axor that stunk like tramps pants… Not sure if they have improved now they are owned by Turners, but what ever you get given it will be poverty spec
