Have Goldstar been bought or merged with Turners, does anyone know?

Turners purchased Goldstar a few years ago now.
Oh right! Cheers. Was wondering what they were like to work for?

I believe it was part of the deal to keep Goldstar as separate company for a number of years and then it will be integrated with Turners.

Goldstar seem to be putting a lot of new vehicles on the road in goldstar colours whereas macintyre are seem to be turners colours with macintyre in small writing somewhere

Turners and maritime I reckon will eventually dominate the entire sector down the line.A troubling prospect.Hate the livery colours of Turners…pukesome colour clash,like a Jackson Pollock canvas on wheels

Can’t agree with the above negative post.
I’ve been working for them for the past 18 months. Once you get it into your head it’s containers and you will spend most of the week hanging around it’s the easiest work you’ll come across. The money ain’t all that (in line with all of this sector). They are currently renewing the trucks with a typical fleet spec but trampers vehicles are fitted with fridges and microwaves. Any problems with the truck and it’s sorted and you run legal. There some good planners, some average planners and some poor planners (in line with the whole logistics industry). But keep your head down, crack on when you can and the jobs a good one 
As for the parent company (Turners) they have no plans to interfere so long as the company are turning a profit.

Usual stuff! The people in the office think they are some sort of superior being! (Even though there was never enough brain cells to go round) plus the wages are rubbish! Like national minimum wage rubbish!
And Turners? Have you seen the state of their trucks and trailers?
Some of them have got to be older than me!

Went for a test drive with Southampton Goldstar few years ago,all good,plaudits from test driver,handed me a pair of gloves suggesting i’d be needing them the following week,however my mention of not being keen on nocturnal start times ended with an e-mail from Angus…'we had a few issues with your test drive’lol.Didna get the gig.Our planner Deans just joined them,no finer young,capable gentleman can there be,our loss is def Goldstars gain.
