Hi , is it correct that I am required to 're apply for my O licence if I change to a limited company from a sole trader.
Nothing has changed apart from Ltd at the end of my name.
Yes, it’s an entirely different trading entity so everything from the newspaper ad onwards.

Yes, you’ll have to surrender your current licence and you’ll get an interim until the new license is granted.

If nothing else is changing apary from Ltd on the end theres a variation you can use instead of a new application, dont shoot the messenger i just remember it being said when someone else asked the question

Thanks for the replies guys.
Since starting this thread, I have spoken to my accountant and he recommends that as I have already registered as a Ltd company, I do not have to start trading as Ltd. He also recommends that I should carry on trading as a sole trader and 're apply for a new operators licence. If the application is successful, I then start trading as Ltd.
Quite annoying as I have only had my existing licence for eleven month.
