Would advise regular blood cholestrol checks, nurse can do it at the surgery.Lipid(fats)test,to check HDL and LDL cholestrol levels.(Good and bad ones)One to watch is VLDL(very low density protein)treated with fenofibrate drugs, the former with statins such as Lipitor,Roavastin. They can affect the muscles.Porridge, beans, lentils, and virgin and oils that Meditaraen people use in cooking, loke olive oil, gets cholestrol down.Avoid too much red meat, eat srdines and pilchards.Omega oils.

It is the tryglyceride levels to watch.Mine are 12.2,should be 0.01,bloomin too high, high risk of a myacardial infartcion.Fenofibrates pills to combat it.
