Hi where is good to stop in Glasgow guys and girls over nighting there tomorrow
It’s a big place, what end?
Easterhouse
Naw actually thinking about it just in case you set your sat nav for easterhouse i was joking!!
Id stay away from glasgow all together. Park in bellshill, james street, earn avenue, fyne avenue or murray place.
Righead ind est on outskirts, come off M74 N after services, turn right and come off at r/about with Maccy Ds, then take third exit, right at ind est, (I usually do right and right again into little industrial compound) Capo’s Hotel opposite do a “Trucker’s special” meal and a good pint, also a couple of pubs further down, and in morning into Maccys for a takeaway coffee and the bog…job sorted
Parked there since early 80s, never had any probs, put all your crap in the bins or skips, then we don’t all get banned

agreed. I don’t like stopping there to deliver, never mind overnighting. With Iceland i stick the freezer on, open the door and accelerate really hard while asking them to fax the signature for the load
Not sure what area as haven’t had a look never been to the drop before but it’s a 6 am delivery
I think our man would be ok if parked up at IKEA at the airport end of town.

Cracking little pub too.
Eurocentral has lots of areas where truckers seem to park up for the night.
Walneuk Rd Paisley, lorry park by the Stags Head or Porterfield Rd (i think) check out Freight Scotland) showers and security etc or outside the distillery ag Port Dundas only short stroll into city centre bars and eateries etc. Spent many a weekend break there no probs

Pub shut years ago!!
Used to park by Scottish Galvanisers just over the bridge. Can’t remember the road name but nice and quiet dead end road. Plenty of room and you can turn round at the end and park on the left near the foot bridge. Walk over the bridge and you have shops, take aways and off licence. Just looked it up and its Maclellan Street , Kinning park.

I know The Stags Head closed but you still have evrrything you need within five mins walk. Rarely go that way now but if I’m past the Red Moss then it’s Port Dundas for me and a stroll round the city centre.
Ikea it is for me
Thanks guys and girls
Lol, least you didn’t choose Easterhouse! Merc would have a guilty conscience then.
Lol was thinking about it lol sounds lovely
