Did Gkn’s plastic or composite trailer spring ever take off ? I belive it started with the Sherpa and was suitable for axles up to 11 tonne ,I don’t remember ever seeing any .

Hi Dan, I know they fitted some to a tri axle ejector, think it was Dee Warley or JBC trailers and it went to their stand at Torquay Waste Exhibition but they could not get it type approved so it got replaced by air suspension, going back to the Sherpas it was only fitted to the single wheel type, never seen them on a 35 cwt model,Cheer’s Pete

Hi Dan, Just spoke to the lad which took the trailer to the Torquay waste Show and it was in 2001 a Warley Panther-Lite and took it down with a Cat powered 6x4 Foden Alpha,Cheer’s Pete
