He also used to have a bonneted black Peterbuilt or Kenworth there, but have not seen it there for a couple of years. There is something in white that is bonneted at the haulage co. on the hill on the side of the Autopista going towardas Malaga, I wonder if its the same one resprayed.

so your old boss who knocked everybody for money in malaga has resurfaced in gib?
i’d be interested to know how ross got a licence for a truck in gib as they are allegedley all sewn up by the families, ben’s dad has a company in gib and he can’t get one to register or buy trucks in gib
any ideas what he’s done with his spanish plated daf?
James, the bit about Fermin and Bolin was a wind up! Gib isnt big enough for a wheelbarrow dealer let alone a Scania dealer.
As to how Ross got a Gib plated truck, I know but am not willing to go into it publically, Ill lt you know over a beer. As to the new Scania he has the 620 ex Moodys and Im told hes getting or got a brand fire new top of the range all gongs and whistles one too, his old DAF I guess will be chopped in against it.

well the one i saw in portsmouth looked new, was silver with all the lights and bars on it and had a C reg gib plate so don’t know if it was the moodys one or the new one.
PM me if you like or we’ll have a beer maybe tomorrow if you’re home, i’m not away now until at least tuesday afternoon, i’ve got a docs appointment in torrequebrada for tuesday morning.
Another frequenter of Gib were AVIALink. Where did they disappear to?

Untill quite recently they were still going (only ‘subbing’ loads out) trading as (something like) ‘Trial Out’ from a yard in St Helens with George still running things. They had a BIG fire there recently, I think they share the yard with a recycling company.
Ross.
PS, Was it george?

Not quite.
George Sander’s still runs his own motors (quite busy at the mo) but does sub-out some loads.
The fire (last summer) did damage a trailer but mostly it was all pallets that were lost. The other ‘businesses’ in the yard, bar the scaffolding, are all George’s but it doesn’t include recycling.
Weren’t Avialink Pegasus under another name ?

Old age!! It’s the mountains of pallets, I can see them now!!
I delivered there a few times back in 2006 and spoke to George, we took big bags of detergent (washing powder I think) that he was storing and onward delivering. There was a couple of stripped tilts at the back of the yard, both old 40 foots extended to 13.6m and long since out of service, last time there they were loading a French registered fridge for Gib with a ‘proper’ groupage load
Ross.
PS, Back then there was another business in the yard which I don’t think George had anything to do with, as you went through the gates the first door on the right was a place run by two Asian brothers who we occaasionally delivered to.
Pegasus was a Gibraltar owned company. They had all the Safeway work which later became Morrisons. It was a licence to print money in it’s day, screwed up by people who became greedy and lazy.

ExH
Reckon it was Liptons then !!
Saw a funny one this afternoon. A Morrisons trailer being pulled by a red merc just by IKEA Malaga. Had a word with the two blokes driving, they were heading for gib. It was 4 o clock in the afternoon, so they weren’t going to get to gib until about 6 but they reckoned it was arranged with customs for them to tip. They said it was a load that had been forgotten and they had left the UK late on wednesday night. The pair of them look knackered.

Think they will be spending the w/e in La Linea, cant see the Spanish Customs being open after 1600h
Better off staying at Ikea ,Malaga as it has a decent restaurant upstairs,Leroy Merlin to stroll round and a new McDonalds opposite.
I can see them explaining that to there boss. We got as far as Malaga and thought bollox we’ll stay here and they have made some sort of arrangment with customs. Gibraltar goes without all it’s fresh food.

Seen on the A63 direction Irun last Sunday 20th:

Just look out for that little Kangoo! Luckily I was accompanied on that trip and could take the foto.
It’s been two years since I last went to Gibraltar, can you still park up outside Gib? Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.
