Having checked Easyjets website I see that it’s forbidden to fly pets out. Does anyone have a suggestion for a sensible alternative?
i take it you are moving to spain and not just going on holiday there?
if you are moving then have a look at BA air cargo, i think it costs about £450 but they deal with most of the paperwork and is checked by a vet before and after flight.
or another option is have a look at websites like k9 express

airpets
we looked at these when we moved back from gibraltar last year and they seemed quite good as they do absolutely everything for you.
in the end we got the ferry from santander to plymouth and it was a brilliant move, cost us about £650 for the ferry, for a car, three passengers (in a commodore class cabin) and the scruffy dog in a large kennel and that was at the end of July.
it was really good as we could go and see scruffy any time we wanted to, even in the middle of the night when it got a bit rough and i was worried about him) and even the dog enjoyed it when we took him for a walk around the doggy deck. (poop on the floors is always picked up by owners and wee is just washed away with the bucket of water that is there).
we decided on the ferry as we didnt think it would have been ideal for him to fly, he was quite timid back then, plus it was a little mini holiday for us.
i know you are going the other way but it depends what part fo spain you are going to.

Thanks Gibsla will contact those tomorrow, both look very useful.
let us know how you get on. it might be useful for other people in the future mate?
We often have the same request from clients and we use airpets
Again, they arrange all the paperwork, collection and delivery etc and have nver had anything but good feedback from clients about them. I think they are quite reasonable as well.
did you have any joy tartanraider■■?
Got a reply yesterday from Airpets. They’ve quoted £800+ for the auld fella. Not sure what will happen next it’s her brothers dog and half the family are out there now, half still here. In spite of the cost it still looks the best option. Thanks for your help Gibsla!
did you try ba air cargo?
im sure they were cheaper than that, but our dog is about the size of a springer spaniel
I’ll give them a go too mate,cheers!
