Well Hello to all… Been reading through all the excellent advice here the past few days so thought i would say hello. I am looking at doing my Class 2 training in the new year, medicals booked for end of november and once completed can send off for provisional and get theory tests booked. I got an info pack off a local training school in staffs a while back and after reading through some peoples experiences with them this confirmed to me that this is who i will use they are based in Tittensor. My normal doctors wanted £80 for the medical but in the said info pack there was one on offer for £30 so thats where i have booked just a shame they can’t do it sooner.
So thats where i am upto so far, i have driven 7.5tonnes before just for the record. I currently work in IT but am bored with it and have come to a crossroads so i figured i’d give this a go. I aint doing it for the money and depending on what posts you read on here its either good or poor $$$. Same with my current job, if you believe the adverts they sell you “retrain for a career in IT and earn 35k” what absolute rubbish! Anyway i will update after 23rd nov which is medical date, but in the meantime feel free to say hello, and NO i can’t fix your PC

Be careful as there are not many jobs around atm & it is going to get worse before it gets better do some research before you go into it fully see what the jobs market is like in your area but be careful that they not agency advertising the same job

Hi, no its not a broker its Bassetts who i will be enlisting with. Am in my current job till next march so will do plenty of research, there are a couple of big logistics comps nearby and also some smaller ones so will put some feelers out nearer the time.
