First post here and its one that you guys must see time and time again, a new guy who didn’t do his research and got burnt. I’ll cut to the chase. Basiclly I paid a broker for my test and such but they also sold me on the 35 hours of driver training. Now having failed my first test and really not liking the school I was put with by the broker I rang out some local schools (Boston LGV and Peter Smythe) to do an assesment drive I was told that I didn’t need those 35 hours because my intial CPC covers me for 5 years, then I have to get those 35 hours after that.
So now I’m in a pickle, how does one go about getting the money I paid for those 35 hours back?

So to simplify: You purchased a package from a broker including an extra 35 hours of cpc training, however you feel you didn’t need this and were conned into paying for it?
Two things - can’t you use it, and then affectively get 10 years of dcpc?
And, you will need to look at your contract. If you paid via credit card, you could put a section 75 claim in… But you would need to work it in a certain way to stand a chance… That doesn’t work if you paid via debit card - however they do offer some protection in the form of a chargeback.
The other option is the small claims court. Realistically they either settle as it will not be worth their while defending, or ignore your claim and just start another limited company.

No, the 35 hours were an extra purchase that they made seem like I needed to get employment. I’m not disputing the cost of my training, I’m not happy with the way they conned me into buying the 35 hours of training. I did buy those courses on my credit card so I do have a comeback in that regard.
Then it’s misrepresentation. Call up your credit card company and ask to make a section 75 claim.
