My thoughts exactly. Shows how many brain cells some people have to come on a forum moaning they’ve been caught not wearing one, egos to big to get the belt round no doubt !!!

If you read my post it clearly states a driver from our company it wasn’t me :unamused: I guess your brain cell ain’t working properly today.

Was directing anything at you as you already stated someone at your place, more a reference to other posts already posted and those that will undoubtedly post how they also got caught, just before they boarded the ferry after a 23 hr day aswell

not exactly crime of the century though is it? I wonder if Greater Manchester Police have cars driving around with cameras on tripods in services and lay bys catching the diesel and load thieves?
That I very much doubt.

maybe not crime of the century but might just save yours or anothers life if it gets you to wear your belt /stay off your phone etc but hey maybe they would have time to chase diesel and load thieves if they didnt have to spend time looking for idiots who cant do a simple thing like put their seatbelt on

if the two men who died on Friday at 05:10 hrs on the m40 at beconsfield would of being wearing theirs :unamused: they’d still be breathing! at least we put hi viz on them to cover them up! :exclamation:

I like what you did there, you lumped the danger to yourself of not wearing a seatbelt with the unconnected danger to others of using a mobile phone whilst driving. Totally unrelated things, aside from the fact you put a forward ■■■■■ inbetween them.

Now think about that for a minute. They really HAVE to spend time making people look after themselves rather than looking out for criminals ?

Out of interest what do you reckon the police issue most of, crime numbers or FPN’s ? Maybe we could do what the police do and say just give me a crime number i’ll deal with it later , too busy now?

I went past that London-bound saw an artic and a handfull of cars stopped on the h/s. Conditions were appalling, I was amazed nobody on the hs got hit.

unconnected in what ways the vehicles are parked close to main junctions specifically to catch people not wearing seatbelts using mobile phones in there car/bus/truck .the similar vans owned used around the york area to film along the A64 are not just there to catch speeding motorists you are filmed to spot you using your phone not wearing your seatbelt etc so there for as regards these vehicles they are connected . now if the police / saftey partnership knew that they would have no joy due to drivers complying with the law do you not think they would be deployed elsewhwere to fight other crimes ?

Good point!

I prefer to look at the question the other way round. i.e Could the reason the crime figures are so high in (using your example York), and especially the non detections and no further actions is because the Police are spending more of their time trying to accumulate FPN’s from people in danger of harming themselves?
Maybe i’m wrong and people are indeed going into Police stations and reporting crimes of not wearing seatbelts, “just ■■■■ myself there officer, a car just came past me and the driver was not wearing a seatbelt”, “don’t worry we’ll get some patrols out there right away.”

So can they do you for not wearing a seatbelt even though they’re there to catch speeding motorists?

Yes.

thats why they changed there name from speed camera too saftey camera partnerships so that they can get you for any misdeamor you commit in front of em

This is what our boys in blue do.

An appeal for witnesses has been launched after a toddler was shouted at and prodded in a Norfolk supermarket.

Norfolk Police issued an appeal for information following the incident at around 9.45am on July 11 in the café at Waitrose Eaton, near Norwich.

A mother reported that her two-year-old was approached by an elderly woman who poked him in the arm and repeatedly told him to “shut up”.

Officers are keen to speak to the elderly woman, who is believed to be aged between 70 and 80-years-old, or would like to hear from anyone else who may have witnessed the incident. The toddler was not injured.

To the op may i ask a question.why is your work receving a nip for your private vehicle

To me this sounds a bit fake. Why would all the drivers be told? Who did the NIP get sent to first?

Nips are always sent to the registered keeper. If you sell a vehicle and don’t send off the slip, you can remain liable.

Don’t know where you get that from mate but it’s one of our drivers driving one of the company’s trucks.

They sent it out as a message saying that it’s a legal requirement to wear a seatbelt if fitted at all times.

Sorry i confused two posts there.my mistake
