Over the last year we have had many enquirires from candidates who have previously gone through a Broker site for HGV licence acquisition. Some points to consider before you part with your money.
- Spend more time talking DIRECTLY with a local provider, will be cheaper as you wont be paying the broker fees.
- Check out pass rates with providers. In leicester for example, 2013, the average pass rate for all HGV tests was 39%, compare that to our pass rate of 65%, it shows large differences in training standards between providers.
- Talk to other people about their training experience, can they recommend a provider, or steer you away from a poor one.
- Check how many hours training you will get per day
- Check the price includes your Theory tests, CPC part 2 and 4 (if needed), practical training and test fees.
- Compare the prices with another provider. Dont forget to ask about pass rates, and make sure you check them out.
- Do they offer an assessment drive prior to telling you how long you need to train, if not how can they know the length of your course.
- If in doubt, ask again.
If you would like advice, feel free to get in touch.
